Welcome to Greench Farm!

This is a The Sims 3 legacy, following the household at Greench Farm, which is part of a still primitive, but growing, community on Maccaroni Island. Enjoy the journey!

The Greench Farm story started as a SimBasic spin-off on local Week 14 Day 1.

All my stories (and more) are now gathered on my new blog, Simmerville's Sims.

Week 16 Day 1: A split community

Yesterday trees all over Maccaroni Island turned golden, and everyone were amazed and a little worried. They never before had major temperature changes, except from a short time after the volcanic activity. But today, the air was crisp, and temperatures considerably lower.

Before the Greench Farm household had started their day, the ghost of old Pepper was still grassing outside. They really should get a new horse, as soon as finances allows for it. But they also need to pay down the bank loan that is still too big after Godrian paid out his siblings, and second story of the house is still not decorated.

First thing on old Archie's agenda was to check on little Bonny. She is a nice baby, not too loud, and not totally in her own world either. The old crib is the same that Archie used as a baby - yes, it's very old...

Godrian, owner of Greench Farm, has taken up painting since long. He just about knows how to put together a portrait, and he found it was time to secure a memory of his old dad.

... who found it more worthy to upgrade the toilet to self cleaning. A hammer sure can make wonders ;-)

Then Archie and Godrian tended the plants outside, while Godrian's wife, Richelle, spent a few hours in the office to establish her new business. The idea is to export produce from Maccaroni Island to town of Galucca.

The produce was pretty sparse, maybe the cold day was to blame.

Godrian is a member of the local Village Council. Representing the southern region, where farmers reside, the climate changes was expected to be debated... Their leader, Yamir Redward, had something else on his mind...

Yamir holds nearly 50% of those stocks, and although he also owes lots of money, the raised land value is definitely good news! Also Richelle at the farm owns a few shares, so Godrian is of course more than interested.

Yoseph Y. Hedgewall represents the stock owners on the Village Council.

Yoseph and Alex are brothers, Reynar is Alex' oldest son, the Inventor.

Few simdays ago it was announced that anyone currently descending from Bianca and Bolan Blumington, can not leave the island due to blue alien DNA.

They kept on debating what possibilities town of Galucca could offer, and how that would help or not help, those who could never leave the island. Godrian would like to visit the other world, but is not allowed.

Back on the farm, Godrian kept tending the garden, with some more or less useful assistance from old Archie. Richelle joined them a little later. She had called a few Galucca companies. She got new glasses yesterday, but often forget to use them as she isn't totally helpless without.

After selling today's crops at the Greench Market, Godrian stopped by at the Town Square, where the festival was rigged by festival mixers yesterday. He noticed a plant he never saw before, but he knew it was a pumpkin. He harvested one plant, intending to grow it on the farm.

Later at night, the portrait of Archie was done, and up on the wall in the room that is meant to be their livingroom. Walls still miss paint, and the furniture could need replacement, but they sort of ignored the room this far. They need to pay back some bank loan before spending money on interior.

Archie had inspected the portrait.

The Greench mission was actually started by Archie when he was much younger. The idea was to keep good quality crop stored safely, in case of volcanic eruption. Godrian has not paid it much thought, quite yet.

How funny, they all expected Bonny to have red hair because both Richelle and Godrian have redish hair, but instead she got blond hair with blueish roots, exactly like Godrian's late mom, and Archie's great love for a lifetime.

If Archie can live pass 100, he should be a good babysitter...

Please hang on - another chapter will be posted next Wednesday!

Week 15 Day 5: The harbour

There are still no kids at Greench Farm, but Richelle has been pregnent for a while, and unfortunately her situation makes her hang out near the kitchen, again making the others expect her to do the cooking for all.

Godrian's younger sister, eillen, has not moved out, and old Archie is still around, turning 95!

All four got seated in the kitchen. Even if the new shop sells modern kitchen appliances, they have not yet bought anything new. The kitchen is still not having paint on all walls. Godrian and Richelle need to wait until they have paid out Eileen.

Amadeus is the oldest son of the crazy woman, Agnes Hawk.

With the CA66-DNA, the Greenches are not allowed to leave the island, making them less attractive to those without the certain DNA.

Eileen works a few hours daily at the new salon. It's just a back room at the clothing shop, so practically she also serves the shop. The shop was initiated by Eileens friend, Linda O. Tulitto.

Linda lives with her little family in the house next to old Joe's shed. So,before visiting Amadeus, Eileen stopped by to talk with Linda, and check on her baby boy. Linda told that she had arranged for a new service at school, pupils can now have their picture taken by Linda, just to keep a memory on the wall. What a great idea!

Then, Eileen walked over to Amadeus' shed - well, small house.

There is a total of 3 small lots like this, all lined up behind the Fort Base. This trail has been called Military Walk, and these lots ae the only lots on Maccaroni Island that are identified by letters A, B and C, instead of address numbers.

Amadeus sure got a unique look, and he is a nice guy, really. His traits are Neurotic, Artistic, Unlucky, Never nude and Commitment issues. Well, maybe not a perfect hubby, but still not the crazy guy that Eileen was warned about.

Back on Greench Farm Godrian is quite disillusioned. Previously they could harvest buckets of great quality food daily, but now...

Godrian and Richelle left for the picnic with Richelle's parents. Archie decided to stay home. He checked the barn, and looked around. All the time nagging the thought that there was some tiny detail he had overseen. Something aout the weird story about green aliens in Galucca being the reason why the CA66 DNA was not allowed to visit. Archie distrusted the story...

But suddenly, Archie recalled! The weird, rude woman at Alfonso Blumington's house! The run away builder that turned out to be female! She had accused Archie for being a green alien, and even more important, she had tried to keep Archie away from the blue Alfonso! If this woman had escaped from Admiral Freeman, why would she tell their lies? Of course she wouldn't!

The rude woman was a living proof that the green vs blue alien conflict was not a lie, but reality!

In Sunrise Valley, actually not far from Alfonso Blumington's house across the Blumington Bridge, Godrian and Richelle had already met Richelle's old parents, Dorothy and Alex Yea-Low. Also Richelle's sister Irena was there, she is still a teen.

Dorothy is a local doctor, but now retired. Richelle's brother, Yesador Y. Wimster, is the new lead doctor.

Instead of giving someone benefits of owning the land where a harbour was built, the council had agreed to claim new land for this purpose. Town of Galucca had bought the land, bringing more real Simoleons to Maccaroni Bank.

Ah, look who's here! Old Corinne Y. Redward! She is sister of Alex Yea-Low, and her husband Randal Redward is Dorothy's brother.

Richelle grew up in this area, before moving out she lived in that house right there, behind her. She often played in the water here on the very small beach. She already knew that one day she will bring her own kids down here, to spend a full day relaxing and playing.

Godrian left the valley, crossed the bridge and walked up to the northern region. Passing uncle Alfonso's little blue house, for a second Godrian thought he heard a baby crying, but it must have been the seagulls.

They ran down the hill. It's actually a weird place to build the island's only harbour, because it's pretty far off the roads, and the land is not exactly flat around here.

So, the tall fence was there to fence them all in?

More next week!
