Welcome to Greench Farm!

This is a The Sims 3 legacy, following the household at Greench Farm, which is part of a still primitive, but growing, community on Maccaroni Island. Enjoy the journey!

The Greench Farm story started as a SimBasic spin-off on local Week 14 Day 1.

All my stories (and more) are now gathered on my new blog, Simmerville's Sims.

About

Welcome to my very first real legacy, Greench Farm! This is a spin-off from my previous community legacy, SimBasic. For a full year you could join me developing a small community on Maccaroni Island, from the 4 settler couples stranded on the island, until 3rd generation residents managed to make contact with the other world. 13 households counting 48 persons and lots of animals will now bring the story onward.

But there will be a major twist - instead of jumping from house to house, the story will now be told through one household, only. Please refer to the tab Legacy Rules to read more about the progress.

Growing pretty close to so many of the residents made it much harder than I expected to choose just one household!

When I finally chose Greench Farm, it was partially due to input from readers of the SimBasic story, but also because I always liked the Greench family. Because this legacy will follow a house, a farm seems like a good choice with its traditions, development and physical activities. The farmer families had numerous kids, meaning the current household has close ties throughout the community.

The current Greench Farm household is about to switch roles as one of the sons, Godrian, has accepted to take over the farm. He has no girlfriend yet, neither have his two adult siblings that are on the step to move out. And then there is Eileen, finally a teenager and about to questioning her blue alien heritage. When the farm is passed on to Godrian, he might face a financial challenge when needing to pay out 3 of his siblings.

We will of course also see the community developing further, as the population obviously will be influenced by the recently established contact with the town of Galucca. Will someone move to Galucca? Will someone move to Maccaroni? Will the island go under in a massive volcanic eruption?

This story starts rolling around August 15th 2012!
