Welcome to Greench Farm!

This is a The Sims 3 legacy, following the household at Greench Farm, which is part of a still primitive, but growing, community on Maccaroni Island. Enjoy the journey!

The Greench Farm story started as a SimBasic spin-off on local Week 14 Day 1.

All my stories (and more) are now gathered on my new blog, Simmerville's Sims.

Week 16 Day 3: Spooky Day

The passing of Archie Greench the night before had kept Godrian awake most of the night. Godrian was now totally in charge of all his ideas, farm improvements and not the least, the upcoming specializing on just a few species.

Very early this morning a UFO could be observed on the Fall sky, right over Greench Farm! If someone had seen the UFO, they might have suspected the visit to regard the CA66 DNA. Were blue aliens checking on their descendants?

Everybody were asleep, even Godrian had finally got a few hours sleep, so they did not notice the activity outside their house.

At breakfast, it felt weird to be only two persons. Just Godrian and Richelle.

Yesterday Richelle had attended a meeting for bank stock owners, and some Baron Jonas Pettonta of Galucca had offered to buy some of the stocks.

They really could need some money, because they owe §15.000 to the bank, and need money for completing the house.

In addition to those orders, Richelle wanted to invite her old mom and teen sister Irena, over for dinner. She also invited a few of Godrian's siblings, to make balance.

That's right, Archie Greench was to be buried today, and Godrian contacted his siblings.

On his way to meet them at Town Square, he noticed the fruit garden trees had no leaves left at all!

Godrian, Richelle and little Bonny walked over to Town Square, and met Graica G. Yea-Low, Bertil G. River and Eileen G. Jones. Richelle didn't plan to attend the funeral, but wanted to check out the Festival. Mrs. Batfield had invited to a special Spooky Day, but the park looked all the same.

That was totally new to Godrian, and he decided to keep it secret. In a way he was glad if their dad didn't know. If he knew, he would have visited Boletta several times after she moved out, which he never did.

They walked over to the little graveyard.

As they cried, the rain kept pouring down.

They were all cried out anyway.

They all split, and a little later they arrived at Greench Farm, bringing delicious meals for the Feast Party. Godrian still disliked that Richelle was throwing the party today, but well, most of the guests had been at the funeral, and maybe it was a good thing bringing all this food into the house - there had to be some leftovers!

Godrian's granny, Bianca Blumington, had been a pretty talented painter, even running the local gallery.

Oups, a guest who wasn't really invited...? Who's this? Ah, it's the son of Godrian's uncle Cody Mayor and Richelle's cousin Rosanne. Rafael Major is obviously a teen already!  They reside in this region, but not at Greench Farm.

Shortly after, they had all left, and food leftovers were safely stored in the fridge. Richelle was a little upset over her old mom, Dorothy R. Yea-Low, lacking her memory. Dorothy had been working at the local hospital for a lifetime, and retired some time ago. Richelle wondered if dad knew? Would it change anything?

While sitting there in the study, playing chess and thinking, she didn't notice that the window slowly got frosty, and the night was set to be the coldest they had ever experienced.

The sky was clear, and temperature fell below freezing point to -3 degrees C. Plants would probably not benefit from such a cold night. So what will tomorrow bring? And how will everyone on Maccarony Island react when they wake up to freezing cold houses? There was never before need for heating, and there is not a single indoor fireplace or chimney on the entire island...

Too be continued in a short week :-)
