Welcome to Greench Farm!

This is a The Sims 3 legacy, following the household at Greench Farm, which is part of a still primitive, but growing, community on Maccaroni Island. Enjoy the journey!

The Greench Farm story started as a SimBasic spin-off on local Week 14 Day 1.

All my stories (and more) are now gathered on my new blog, Simmerville's Sims.

Week 15 Day 4: The green and blue truth

This morning Godrian and Richelle sat down in the kitchen to have an economical overview. This is obviously bothering Richelle more, but Godrian knows it will be tough when his younger sister, Eileen, decides to move out.

But, Eileen wastes her days at the salon, not really bringing in any money either, so they won't really benefit from delaying it much.

A new generation is about to get born! Looks like its hair colour might be red'ish, but what else?

Today is the important meeting where everyone carrying the CA66 DNA must attend. In addition, the Council is invited, as well as Archie Greench (maybe because he is sort of affected, with 5 kids all having the CA66).  Godrian found time for a little harvesting before heading to the meeting, but more plants are dieing, and it's a problem that Richelle can't help much now that she is pregnant, and old Archie can no longer help.

The farm cat Mushi (left) has got himself a new friend! A cat they never saw before, it must have followed some of the Galuccians when arriving the island.

Then Godrian, Eileen and Archie left the farm, heading for the meeting that took place in the old school building.

And, Admiral Steve Freeman started the meeting...

What?

It was indeed well deserved, but Archie felt a bit shy and silly, and most of all he suspected this to just be some attempt of building goodwill among the islanders.

Freeman went on...

Ha ha, Gerda Peel, yes - the Maccaroni islanders all descend from the red, yellow, green and blue - but purple?

A green Galuccian could either be green from the pollution, or could be carrying green alien DNA, not good to say...

Admiral Steve Freeman then gave the word to Dr. Frederic Mahogoney, who told them more about the genetic risk. He referred to a solid alien DNA report, "Green & Blue" by scientist Lucas Stew-Fraisser of SimCity. Numerous reports had supported Stew-Fraisser's finds, and the facts were no longer just assumptions.

So, basically he said that none of the current descendants of settlers Bianca and Bolan Blumington would be admitted access to Galucca. 3rd generation without the blue skin, would probably be seen as safe, although the CA66 DNA can still be carried even if the skin is no longer dominant.

Everyone were of course upset! They had already got used to the thought of being prisoned here at Maccaroni Island, but the truth was kind f creepy. Archie had a feeling there was a tiny piece of information that somehow could tell him whether this was true facts, or lies. He just couldn't recall that detail, and he definitely couldn't trust Steve Freeman, even if he tried!

Eileen noticed that her sister Boletta had not attended the meeting, and it could only mean one thing, Boletta gave birth! Eileen took the day off from the salon and hurried over to the western side of the island, and to 14 Redward Elysee.

And she was right! Boletta had become the mom of a lovely daughter, named Doriette Wimster.

But, she isn't green either, and not really as red as her dad, Yesador...  Eileen reported from the meeting, and she found herself wondering if those Galuccians with green alien genetics would look anything like Boletta...

Eileen was a little annoyed with Boletta's ignorance. The whole DNA thing was on Eileen's mind all day, she had so many questions about her genetic heritage. Only a simweek ago, mom had told her about the alien Eileen who lived in the other world many generations ago, and our Eileen had planned to visit a huge library in the other world to look up anything she could find on the subject. But now she would not get access to anything but the local bookstore, Our Delightful Bookstore.

Now that Eileen was in the western region, she walked over to 6 Redward Heights, Redward Farm. Her friend and cousin Blanca Peel had just moved in with Yamir Redward, and it felt a bit weird. Anyway, Blanca knew how to cheer up an old friend.

Yamir Redward still keeps a couple horses, and he is slowly building up a routine for breeding and selling horses at Pets Field. Godrian wants to buy a horse, but must wait until finances are better.

Over at Linda O. Tulitto's house, there had been a birth, too!

But Linda was not in a very good mood...

Linda handed Hugo over to Eileen, and then told them that she wanted to buy some land and move their little house to a better location. Still, the most important about staying would be rewarding the scientists.

They stayed at Linda's house for many hours watching TV. This is yet the only TV-set on the entire island. The new store doesn't sell electronics, but anyone can order whatever they want from Galucca. If they only could afford it, TV-sets are not for free...

Later at night, Godrian, Eileen and their dad Archie had dinner at the farm. Richelle didn't feel well, and went to bed to read a little. Naturally, today's meeting was the subject at the dining table.

There is a total of 3 bedrooms upstairs, plus Archie's room downstairs. Actually plenty of rom for one crib. Did Richelle suspect triplets?

More in one week - hopefully on wednesday :-)
